VR 5
Planned workout for yesterday was 4 x 1.5 mile at target of 8:25 to 8:35 pace with 800 m recovery in between. Took the day off yesterday after 7 straight running days. Did a close enough version of the workout here.
Here is how the workout went-
Me: I don't want to run today.
Imaginary Chris (IC): Shut up and quit whining.
Me: This workout is going to be hard and I'm all by myself.
IC: Shut up and quit whining.
Me: Show some sympathy as I have twinge of pain in outside right hip and IFL.
IC: Shut up and quit whining.
Me: Okay, that went pretty well. I got the 6 miles in without any recovery in between. Definite pain by mile 5 but I worked through it.
IC: Shut up and quit whining and good job.
