Notes
Part II of Creepiness at Patapsco. This part of the run we started at the intersection of the Purple and Yellow and did the Purple loop a couple of times and then over the hill on the M Trail. (Can't remember the name but it starts with an M) By this time, we both had been up since basically 4:30 am Friday and by the end we will have been awake for 22 to 23 hours. Laurel Highlands has 22 hour cut off and I wanted to simulate still pushing/walking/hiking/whatever at the same time of night and having stayed awake all day.
Lessons learned.
1) Eerie sounds 2) two eyes/lights at the end definitely scared me a little 3) bugs, 4) moon didn't help 5) How does anyone do a 100 mile and run 8 to 9 hours in the dark? 6) Fireflies were out already and it looked beautiful over one of the farm fields with all the flashing little lights.
I don't want to do this trail again ever in the dark of midnight. There was a dog that sounded like the ones that went after Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke. Figured he was going to break out of his yard and come charging at us.
