Perfect conditions. This course will wipe you out. So many ups and downs very similar to the worst of Patapsco. The last 10 miles are very similar to the last 4 miles at Seneca Greenway 50K where you go around the lake.
Course was changed this year since the trail was torn up past the usual 7.2 mile aid station. Instead, we did the White loop twice which is way harder than the easy 2 miles at the end of the bluebell fields. I do think the course was about a mile shorter than last year. It is impossible to tell with the GPS malfunctions. At my mile 42+ the guy next to me was wearing a Garmin Fenix. I asked him what he had. He was 3 miles ahead of me and we had about 3 to go. They advertise 50.4.
