Notes
The dreaded Catoctin trail. I don't think I've been on it since last year's CAT. And now, I remember why. Pam and I got an early start at the trailhead at Hamburg. Headed North towards Manor road (mostly but not all downhill). Decided to just do 9 down and 9 back. Lot of mountain bikers. A few runners. Supposedly snakes at "Seymour's Rock". I didn't see any. Weather was probably the best you could hope for in mid-June. Cooler and less humidity than normal.
Took it easy. A few helicopters but no actual falls. Someone new owns the drug methane house at Delauter and they got rid of a lot of the old stuff/barn but now have free range white turkeys and roosters.
