Notes

I'm very pleased with this. After 20 miles yesterday with some threatening calf stuff at the end, I wasn't sure how the body would respond today. Things felt pretty good and I stayed steady under 9 min pace. Talked with a few runners during the race including one who had run with me when I paced Frederick. Looks like a negative split but the biggest accomplishment is the back to back long days.

Chris was kind enough to drive the two of us to the new Severna Park HS. It was cold and stayed cold and then got colder as we waited after the HM outside for Frank to arrive. Chris had a very good day. I know she is a little disappointed that she didn't get her NY HM qualifying time (less than 50 seconds off) but she broke 1:50 and a super PR. Greg ran with her and receives all the credit.

Saw Faye, LL and Amanda and Julia and a bunch of others. Speaking of Julia, she kept thinking that different runners were Frank including at one time a short girl with a pony tail. Obviously her eyes could use some help. Frank had a good day also and came in around 3:06 for the marathon.

This was a good weekend.

Nice job, D! Great race.

Just do that x 2 and you have BQ in the bag. Well, done after a 20 miler.

Nice. Very nice! I agree with Faye, plug this into McMillian and see how close you are to a BQ!!! If you can shave off like 4 minutes, you've got it... and that might only involve not running 20 miles the day before!!!

Very solid race. Keep doing those back-to-back long runs. They worked for me to get me faster in 2012 and 2013.
