I've gotten to that point where I don't have the patience to deal with this. I needed to see how far I could make it, so I went out 2 miles and turned around. around 1 mile i started feeling minor pain, by the time I hit 2.5 miles, I had to stop because my knee was in excruciating pain. I found a ledge, laid down and did the crossover leg stretch that stretches my sides. Pain completely gone the remaining 1.5 miles. What the crap?

I've come to the conclusion that Darrell is completely wrong in his assessment, that it's NOT a knee problem. Why does it go away after a 30 second stretch? I think the main issue is my IT band, I think it's so tight it's pulling on my knee. I think it's so tight, the pain I've been feeling around my ankle is caused by that. So I need to figure that out, and I've found a couple stretches that should help.
