Notes
Shiiiiiit. Not my day. Felt like I was running as fast as I could go... just wasn't very fast. It's definitely hard to keep going when you know you're running way slower than you'd hoped. Glad I sucked it up and finished with an even and tough effort. Should count for a good workout at least. Other silver lining is that I outkicked the guy I ran with the entire race over the final 400m. Last two races, I've died and given the lead up (well, maybe not the lead, but relative position anyway)... at least I finished "racing the race" this time.
By general concensus, the mile markers were all over the place, but here's what I got for splits:
mile 1 - 5:29
mile 2 - 5:35
mile 3 - 5:32
mile 4 - 5:41
mile 5 - 5:15
mile 6 - 5:50
mile 7 - 5:08
mile 8 - 6:01
mile 9 - 5:44
mile 10 - 5:48
mile 11 - 5:51
mile 12 - 5:42
mile 13.1 - 6:03
