Wow, this was a rough ride. I was tired all day (actually almost fell asleep a few times at work), so I wasn't feeling too confident about this workout. And, as it turns out, with good reason. Was able to hold 5:39/mi pace for the first 10k, but then had to back it off a bit. I rallied in the final 10 minutes and pushed the pace back down, but still ended up with a slower workout than planned. 2.5 x this workout on race day? The first hour of the marathon better feel a whole hell of a lot better than this did... Probably added a chunk of time to the 5k on Saturday with this workout, but do I care about some random 5k? Not so much.
