Notes
mile 1 - 5:30
mile 2 to 3.1 mi - 5:42
I caught up with the leader around 1.5 miles into the race. We went around a curve and there was a train. A volunteer instructed us to stop. As more people arrived and stopped (stopped for about 1:30), we decided to add some distance to the course and go around the train by crossing a nearby bridge (a very long train). I ran with another guy until close to the finish. He sprinted by with about 200m to go, but then fell back, and I was able to hang on for the win.
