Didn't feel as hyped as everyone else seemed to be, but still gave it my all. Went out a little bit fast (I think first split was a 74; was shooting for ~78 throughout)
Chris provided a nice moral boost through laps 5-7. He passed, I passed a lap later, and I was hoping for some more play but twas a good motivator nonetheless. I left it all in my final kick [even if it wasn't a ton faster than usual]. Really wanted to chase down Bequette too but last 400m wasn't nearly enough.
Rain & puddles didn't have as much of an effect as I'd expected, still didn't help.
Goal of breaking 10:00? NOPE
Goal of not getting lapped? NOT TODAY, THANKS FAZ
PR in sub-optimal conditions? YEAH, AT LEAST I GOT THAT GOING FOR ME (PVIAC 2-mile was 5:25 pace)
Can't honestly say I'm happy with today; mostly just bummed the XC season is over and I have to take like four days off.
