Felt INSANELY good today on this long run! Ran with Helen for her long run on Banks/Vernonia. Met a guy named Justin Clark who may join our team and did the first 5 miles with him as well. Started at Vernonia in Anderson Park and went point to point to Banks. I felt like I was jogging the entire run. Last mile I brought it down to 5:55 and still felt great. Hot weather was a factor for Helen as she slowed a little the last couple miles and had to stop early. We did start later than we wanted and the last few miles are exposed to the sun and made it feel hot. I know it was in the 80's when we came through the last few miles. Too hot to run as fast as we wanted, however, we did get in a good many miles at or near her Marathon pace when we were shaded in the trees. Need to run 2 more miles later for 80 mpw!!!
