Drove out to Monmouth with Helen. Decided to do my old Monmouth 20 mile course. Hadn't run out there in years. Nice to see everything again. Weather stayed overcast and thankfully never got hit by rain. Helen and I ran together for the first 12 miles. She wasn't feeling good today so the pace was a bit slower than usual. After 12, I took off on my own and had a good run. Last couple miles I was really hauling ass and felt great. Never felt depleted. Took 1 e-Gel at mile 12 with Helen. Finished hard on church st. through campus (WOU). Reminded me of old times!!! Recovered well afterward. Can't say the same for Helen though....
