Sara and Emily's full weekend of fun continued! This morning we hit up all the major geyser basins including Old faithful and its surrounding features, Grand prismatic, and Norris basin. Then we headed over to do one of my fav hikes, Mt. Washburn, but classic YNP it started to hail and lightening on us at the top so luckily we are both runners so we ran the whole way down! Very scary! But we saw come cute bighorn sheep!! Then we warmed up in my room and made microwave smores! Monday morning we did a hike in the Tetons called Ampitheatre lake that was super magical. We happened to run into a couple at the beginning of the hike and hiked with them to be safer bc of the bear sighting. Turns out they are from a town I am a little familiar with, can you guess where? HINSDALE!!! Not only are they from Hinsdale, but they are the aunt and uncle of my friend Sam that I've known since kindergarten! Such a small world! The hike was beautiful and it snowed much of the way up so the lakes looked wintery and silent and so amazing I can't even describe it ugh just wonderful. We headed to Jackson afterwards for one last ice cream together and sadly parted ways :( Wonderful weekend!!! <3<3<3
