Not my best possible race, but given the circumstances of the day I’ll take it. I feel like I could’ve gone a good bit faster and maybe finished up closer to Will had I not spent the entire day student teaching and having been awake since 5:30 in the morning but I still gave it my best shot and I think given how long of a day it was 20:03 isn’t terrible. Obviously I’m not settling for that in a race where I’ve had a normal day of preparation, but I can’t dwell on this as a bad race. I have to take it as is and move forward. I was starting to catch up to Adam and the people in that group right ahead of me by the end so that’s definitely a good sign for when we get into 8k’s, I can be confident in my ability to stay feeling strong by the end of the race and finish hard.
To the boys: We’re going to be all right. Yes, Moravian finished 6 points ahead of us. We have to accept that and move on, and continue to work our tails off to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. I have faith in this team, we can get it done when the time comes. Let’s keep grinding.
