Pre-Boilermaker workout: two mile warmup, then three mile tempo (flat, hilly, flat), half mile cooldown. Wanted to mimic how I plan to race on Sunday: a bit slower for the first part, even effort up the hills, and a bit faster on the downs and later flats. Went pretty well. Still debating what shoes I want to wear though. I had bought the Endorphin Pros expecting that they would give me that extra little boost, but they don't feel particularly fast to me. Honestly, the Endorphin Speeds feel better and quicker, and I ran 6:15s for a similar effort in them last week. But I'm not sure if the difference is the shoes, or just how rested I was on the respective days.
