Had a good time heading down to Paris, KY at the early hour of 4:00am with my buddy Alexander Bruns. Great event today at the Blanton's Bourbon Derby half marathon as Pacers for Beast Pacing. Amazing views along the course makes me wish I brought my camera (ran through two horse farms). At times the horses would run along the fence and prance next to us. Paced the 1:40 group comfortably finishing before the heat set in too much at 1:39:45. This run felt very casual ---this pace is hard for me to do simply because I kept speeding up by accident.
All hills course ---very very little flat areas.
Heart rate says it all -- mid 160's running 7:30s... it was toasty
