Fartlek— legs are weak from 2 weeks of hills, so today was a good “shakeout” run. Alactic sprints (about 15 sec), reaching 4:42 pace in the last one. One hard uphill run on Medina Rd (near 24), getting HR up to 162 bpm. Mostly felt like I was jogging otherwise, and avg pace 8:28 and avg HR 125 are consistent with the plan. 1059 bpMi overall, not bad.

1 scoop Tailwind in 20 oz today. Seemed fine. Tailwind has 25g carb, all from sugar. I’m trying to figure out if I’d be better off with complex carbs, like Perpetuem, or e-Fuel(?). Tailwind has 300mg Sodium, which may be more important for me. Also want to try Crank Sports gels (same mfr of e-Fuel?).
