LMLS, 12 mi w/ 6 Tempo mi @ HMP-15K pace (6:30-ish), SAM Hard
My avg pace during the Tempo portion was 6:32.5, which I am happy with.
My splits were: 6:51, 6:43, 6:31, 6:27, 6:23, 6:20. I really like the trend. The first mile felt tough, and it just seems daunting at that point that I can possibly speed up. But after the second mile at Tempo pace, I got into a nice rhythm that seemed sustainable and almost comfortable. This is the 3rd such Tempo workout in a progression (4, 5, and now 6 miles at Tempo pace). This one felt easier than the first two! (I couldn't even finish the full 4 miles in the first workout!)
Oh well. This will probably all blow up in my face in 2 days when I have to run a 22-miler.
