Intervals (short), 12x400m, treadmill, ramped up speeds: 9.1 mph (6:36 pace) up to 9.5 mph (6:19 pace). Ramped up incline to 1.5% towards the end to see if my HR would go up much. My HR peaks were 149, 153, 156, 157, 159, 157, 161, 162, 162, 162, 164, and 165. In hindsight, this is about perfect (even though it felt easy at the time). Next week, I may use 9.1 thru 9.6 (miles 1 through 6, 2 repeats during each mile), ALL at 1.5% incline.
