Notes
PCR: 2 mile w/u, then 10 miles at 7:01 avg pace, 1 mile c/d.
Average HR was 150.8 bpm during the 10-mile portion, but HR increased throughout. Two positives about this run:
1. I had very low expectations -- Mon and Wed this week were my first Intervals workouts, and I woke up tired, so my plan was to run by feel and not push too hard. My guess was that I'd be able to run 7:15 pace and maybe have to bail out after 8 or 9 miles. So I was pleasantly surprised with how it went.
2. I felt in control the last few miles despite the higher HRs: 153, 155, and 157 for the last 3 miles. Maybe a result of the Intervals workouts this week (e.g., getting more comfortable at HRs close to LT)?
Tomorrow is a Long Run, and I plan to run about 18 miles before baseball practice. Plenty of water during and after!
