Today felt easy, which is evidenced by the Avg HR of 133 bpm. However, my pace was quite a bit faster than I would have expected for this perceived level of effort -- avg of 8:05 min/mile today.
This seems like a new level of fitness, or some new plateau. On my long "easy" runs during the marathon training program, my pace was often around 8:15 - 8:20, and it felt like I was pushing harder than today. (Then again, I have been easing back into things since the marathon 2 weeks ago. One explanation is that I was often fatigued during those long training runs this summer, usually due to a hard Tempo run the day before. Whereas now, I am rested and apparently fully recovered from the marathon.)
