Added NOTE on 8/22/12: This was my 10-miler after getting back from a trip to San Francisco where I did not run. I ran from LifeTime Fitness at Cross-Town to the LRT Trail, past ACIST, all the way to Dell Road, then turned around. I noticed pain in my Right Achilles tendon early on and ran at a very easy pace. Ran in my Five Fingers, but in hindsight, probably not a good idea. I've decided to avoid the VFF's until this issue goes away. (I am still a fan of barefoot, but for this particular problem/issue, the lack of any heel support or padding just seems to overstretch the achilles ... )
