3rd pilgrimage to run a spring ultra with Don R. This year it was Clinton Lake Ultra. Beautiful day, started out cold (32 F) and wound up around 55. I thought all of Illinois was flat, but not so. Clinton Lake didn't have huge hills, but it did have consecutive ones around the entire loop which my legs were really feeling by loop 3. Course was in great shape with only a couple o' mud pits. I could tell during loop one that this day was going to require a little more effort because I just wasn't really feeling it (allergies or cold, not sure just yet). Still a really geat day. Also ran into Juli, Val, and Ed. Aid station 2 had cooked potatoes, grilled tuna, and beer!
