Notes
Probably the best MAF test I have ever had. I attribute the improvement mainly to the weight I have lost which is about 8 pounds. The math says that an 8 pound loss should give me a 16 second per mile improvement at the 5k. Well, last week I had that improvement. A 16 second per mile time difference in a 5k should translate to about a 30 second improvemnt at MAF pace. Well, I just saw this today. So, the math works. What is also interesting is that the tables predict that a 9:30 maf pace should tranlate to about a 7:15 5k mile. Well, that is exactly what I saw. The numbers make sense!
Another encouraging thing about this run is the way I felt. I have had some good MAF tests in the past, with good results, but I actually felt different in this one. It felt easy. Very easy.
