Tentatively Charlevoix, it’s more like an early summer marathon. June 17th. I’d like to do a marathon I just haven’t really settled on exactly which one yet and I do want to keep it fairly close to home. Oh and my last 5K was in 2010.

Charlevoix is a good choice. Scenic yet flat. Pray for a cool morning though.

Side note, I believe I have a strained piriformis muscle. It’s been a little tender for a couple weeks now but since Thursday it’s a little more discomforting. Likely from running much harder that day. It’s literally right under my butt cheek and slightly more towards the groin as opposed to outside towards my hip. I don’t recall ever dealing with this before so it’s a bit of a guess. Research suggests stretching that muscle, ice and rest. I’m not much for rest so I’ll just stretch and run easy.

I think I've had similar issue. Almost right where the hamstring connects at the top. I think stretching your hip flexors / psoas would also be beneficial.
