Set out today to monitor my HR and work to keep it below 130. I’m amazed at the pace I was able to run while keeping my HR well below 130. I’ve been paying a lot of attention to HR as of lately and noticed that when my HR is below 132 I feel like I can go forever. Today was the first run where I focused on HR from start to finish and it was really a super fun run today. I plan to work on low HR training much more leading up to the 50 miler. Speaking of the 50, if I can start out the race keeping my HR low I think I will do very well.
