6x1600 w/2:30 rest on the track
Really good workout. Felt like I was jogging the first two, though the last three got increasingly tough and I really had to stay focused. I was really luck to have Matt Villemain jumping in with me for 1 or 2 400s each rep and helping me keep pace. Really dig deep on the last 400m of the last rep.
Compared to when I did this workout last year, I think this was a little better performance. In flats the whole time as opposed to spikes, though the weather was great this afternoon. Even making the adjustment for 1600 --> 1609, coolrunning says that I was running 4:39.6 pace, which sounds way cooler than 4:40.
