Ran 4, 3.94 loops with Scott Wietecha near his house in Hendersonville. First two felt like a piece of cake and like I was jogging even going up the big 800m hill. The 3rd one started to get a little hard, especially going up the big hill. The last loop sucked. I was hanging with Scott, but he was dragging me along and our pace slowed to around 5:40 for the hilliest rolling mile. Finished the run off with 40-50 seconds hard to make it 16 full miles, but I wasn't sure that I was going to make it.

Loop times were 22:19, 22:05, 21:49, 21:53. In retrospect, I think the breaking point for me was when we started dropping some 5:2x miles in the third loop. Still, it's good to go out of my comfort every now and then, especially as most of the running I do Monday - Saturday every week is pretty relaxed.

Really good strong workout for me. I haven't had this quality and volume of a session since late last October. Definitely gives me some confidence.
