Workout on the Grady track in Atlanta. Easily the most water I have ever run through on a track and maybe for any kind of workout. Especially during the first interval, there were parts of the track with a good inch of standing water which definitely slowed down the times some.
The innitial plan was 3x4800m @ 5:00, 4:55, 4:50. Given the element and how I was feeling this past week, I'll take this as not too shabby of an approximation, though I'm not too trilled by this workout. Glad I was able to crank it down that last mile and hit the splits I was going for, though running 4:55 pace felt a little less comfortable than I hope it will during the half marathon. At very least hopefully this will give me some mental toughness for if the weather at Houston is like it was last year.
