Jason gave me as the workout 3m easy, 3 @ 5:50, 3m easy, 3 @ 5:50, 3m easy, 2 @ 5:50, rest easy.

The hills forced me to start the first fast set after mile 2 and overall that went fairly well. Somewhere around mile 3 I took over first place.

mile 6 & 7 were the really big climb which I thought I took easy but was moving pretty well. Started the 2nd fast set a bit earlier too and that went well too. Up to this point was literally running alone with just a course marshal on a bike leading me. However, right at the end of this group, I started passing all the walkers and then the joggers of the 11m race and somehow couldn't get myself to slow down much beyond marathon pace.

The rest of the race was just trying to keep honest pace. around mile 19-20, quads started feeling tired-about-to-cramp but held off. Was able to run sub marathon pace the last half mile to the finish and broke tape.
