COMMENTS: colon cancer 4m. east, s of 72nd to tavern. 5:42, 5:27, 5:57, 5:35.
knew a little sick prerace. postrace, felt terrible (an hour later) but felt ok during race. too slow off start, felt too easy but was unsure of self. picked off many in mile 2 but too easy on mile 3, protecting 3rd place. picked up strong in mile 4 but really didnt kick in hard. happy with 3rd, but time stinks. tired legs too. hoping that just an early race and peak performance will be much better in april.
post script (next day): sick with congestion and sore throat.
