5:54 pace. 1st:6:02-overall uphill (from west side of 72nm traverse) , 2nd: 5:52-slight downhill 3rd: 6:06 (upper loop-big down and big uphill), 4th: 5:53 (hilly UWS) 5th: 5:29 (net down by a lot). . these splits are a bit inaccurate. started with legs that still feel heavy from travel and bad sleep last 2 nights and sunday's long run. 6:02 first mile felt "pushed" but i didnt back off too much because i thought "what the hell, its only practice, take a gamble and see if you die. you can just ease off." i did get tired but managed to hold on in realtive comfort. 4.93 in 29:02
