5 in 28:11. Tavern start, counter clock wise. Easy start, 5:45ish and then similar through 2, but felt relaxed. Mile 3 was hard, passed several. Mile 4 was hard, hills hurt on west side but was still passing people. On the downhills, let go hard. Caught two more and on final 100m, passed first place female. Humid day. Third place overall. time was within goal, 3rd place finish is nice but no one there, not sure why. must have run near 5:20 on final mile, maybe faster.
