did a hard 3. back had loosened and a beautiful day so i went for the hard 3 i had wanted to do yesterday. went out in 5:48 and thought i felt ok but started to slow in mile 2 and really hit the wall by 1.75 and considered quitting. 5:56. i held on an finished without killing it but feeling awful. 6:01. 17:45. felt sluggish and tired. did i go out too hard? why was i able to run sub-6 pace over 5 miles two weeks ago? bad sleep this week? a lot of McD's this week (seriously), inclduing breakfast today). just a bad day? nto feeling very good about marathon prospects.
