Weird run. Planned 20, no energy, tired from yesterday, plus too many carbs? Took a lot of effort to muster the willpower to get out there with the strong wind.
But... planned 2:20 laps + walk 1 min every 8. After a few laps I remember I was supposed to be working on hip extension and glute activation. As soon as I did, next lap was a 2:00. I hadn't noticed feeling like I was running any faster. Huh. But then, no matter how hard I tried, I could not run any slower than 1:57ish while focusing on hip extension. Great? Except, I think I was still using more effort than an easy 2:10 lap. Gave up after 8 miles. Not my day. Sometimes you have to accept when your body says rest is what it needs. Hard to know, but I think today was one of those.
