Planned 2:30 loops, started a little fast.

Glute hurt from the beginning, thought I might DNF immediately. But it didn't get much worse, until by 20 or so it had faded into the general discomfort. For a while I thought things were going OK...

Definitely more tired and sore than I should have been 3rd and 4th lap, although for most of the 4th lap I thought I managed to not feel much worse than the third lap. Maybe I could have held 2:30ish for four more laps, probably not, but anyway the glute shut me down around 45. Hurt to walk. Until then I'd been stressing during the 4th lap whether I should continue or not. The tough thing was, there's all the mental stuff about a 100 going on, knowing how much farther there is, and how easy it would be to stop at 50 and be done, very easy to justify with the hamstring and glute issues, and not wanting to risk further damage. But I hate to quit. Anyway the decision was taken out of my hands in the end.
