Notes

Damn damn damn damn.

Supposed to be 24, with 9:20 pace running + 1 min walk every 2 miles. Out the door I had to turn around immediately; new bandage was not sufficient. Rewrap was almost not sufficient. But it's just pain, right? The doc told me there was no risk now of reopening the cut. Once I got to the park it was OK. On pace through 16 or so. But then after walk break when I tried to restart running, the hamstring said NO. I have learned to listen to that, the hard way. Walked a bunch, limped back home, for 20.

By this point I should really be back to 8:48 pace for the running segments, as in training for Desert Solstice, and again my desired race pace.

Every limb is now gimpy. Right Achilles, left big toe, both palms due to impact when I face planted. And if I can deal with all that, the old hamstring tendons rear up and shut me down. I am a walking pile of injuries. I still can't even walk without limping. And I want to try to beat my 149 at DS, in 7 weeks??? Who am I kidding?
