Back in the dirty six thirty. Hooked up with the ol’ pal jazzed pear. Haven’t seen the goober since my wedding. His friend Finch joined for the first 5. Same guy who smoked me in the 5k at U of I like 4 or 5 years ago. I brought that up and said we had met before but he didn’t remember me so I played it cool. Apparently he hasn’t run in 2 years though so he wasn’t so intimidating. We kept it easy, did a turkey trot loop and Finch finished when we passed Jake’s and Jake and I finished the run together. We went to the pp out to villa park then cut over to the weestern to take it home. Shot the shit and caught up a bit which was nice. Jake was underestimating my ability to pretend I’m fit and said I didn’t need to join him for the whole run or we could slow it down but that just ticked me off so I pushed the pace a little. I also brought a double espresso goo with 100mg of caffeine to power me through the last 6. I stopped at 14 at Ackerman for who knows what reason. I guess I thought 15 was too far based on my training. Overall proud that I could hang though. Miss these runs. Went to Muneeb’s wedding today too to kick off a super busy weekend. Had a good time with claire Marty jake and Kalen even though the bathrooms were optimistic. Muneeb rode in on a horse. Definitely outdid me at my wedding
