Tried a new route today to keep it interesting. Couldn't ask for better weather. The route didn't have a lot of shade and it was a little stinky at some point but I didn't get that far on the trail so maybe I'll try it again for a long run or something. I wanted to go far and had no intention of going fast since I expected some fitness loss after last week but I was feeling great and 6:28 felt super easy for mile 2 so I just kept it up. I decided to slow back down after mile 8 so I'll call this a 7 mile tempo at 6:11 avg. Not bad!
