Notes

This was our first hill workout of the season. I was somewhat excited to see how I felt before we ran, and I was happily suprised. I felt great for the entire workout, with only heavy breathing and tired legs. I was beginning to feel a cramp in my shoulder around the 6th or 8th hill, but that was on the downhill and it didn't come back. We jogged very slowly to the bottom of the hill every time. The first 5 hills were easy, just to "get used to it." The freshmen and the Spencers ran every other hill on odd numbers. On the 6th hill, we started doing 1:30 times, which was only a few seconds faster than we had been running it, we only had to push it on the 50m flat section at the top. I was staying towards the front by then, and I still felt great. We continued to run 1:30s, and I was staying up with Pat and David Derrick. Coach told everyone except the four top guys to sit out the 12th hill, and we were wondering if we were done. We came back in for the last three hills, and I continued to feel good. Everyone but Cullen, Baker, Kutylowski (visiting), Pat, David Derrick, me, Matt, Talbot, and Fackler sat out the 14th, and then everyone did the last one. I felt great the whole time and this was definitely my best run of the year.

No core today.
