Great workout... I wanted to simulate a race for the sake of my body. While the rest of the team was running 4 seconds or so faster for the first 5, I was just hanging out doing 75s. This is the part of the race where I can't get concerned with who's in front of me, just when I need to go. When the others started getting tired after 5 or 6, I began to go faster, 73-74. This is the part of the race where I'm comfortable and I can start picking people off one by one, as they fade and I continue. The last 400 I just exploded, exactly what I need to do as well. In the race when I can see who is left to conquer, I must use the will I have left and the energy I have saved from my lax first half to burst past them. It's really important that I use all my energy in the right amount of time; that there is none left over or I lose it before the finish. This was just a quality workout in which I enforced my racing style, great for the upcoming FAVC meet on Saturday.
