Notes
It was so hot. Centerville's course has a ton out in the sun, and the heat was unbearable. We also ran at 1:30. My legs felt good the whole race, and my hips loosened up after the first 400m or so. The course was kind of cool; there were a lot of people everywhere but fences to hold them back. Cullen was feeling really bad today I guess; I passed him just before the 2.5 mile mark. I passed coach a little while later and he was yelling at me that I was the 5th runner, so I would score. I tried to push a little harder, but I was exhausted. He yelled at me again with 300-400 to go, and I passed 4 or 5 guys before the end. Unfortunately, the Centerville guy (5th on their team) beat me by 3 seconds, forcing a tie between our teams for the score. We got 3rd and they got 2nd, but I heard later that they didn't even have their best team there. Anyway, I am happy with my race because I did well despite the weather, and I got 5th on the team, so when Cory comes back I'll be 6th, and get to run varsity at FAVC next weekend.
I was feeling kind of sick after the race and threw up a couple times.
