Notes
First meet of the year. I raced super well for what I've been thinking I could do lately. Finished the first fields loop with Matt G, behind Ryan, Tyler, MattO. Went into the woods in the same spot, I was feeling like I could handle a faster pace. Went around MattG on the woods downhill, passed some Anderson kid out of the woods, passed Tyler on the out-and-back straightaway, went with Ryan around the corner to the cows, passed him and some cheating corner-cutter kid. Across the bridge therewere a bunch of people cheering and I got pretty fired up. Passed 2 in the serpentine, one on the last straightaway.
This is how I need to run this year: Relaxed at first, gauging my pace, then picking off one after another. This race didn't feel agnonizingly long like some. It was over quickly, I was happy with my 1st time. Vogele and Finney beat me from Anderson.
