Notes

Today was a long run, but not quite as fast as Davis on Thursday. We ran up to Grailville, cut through on a nature trail and through a field, and we were at White Pillars, the new subdivision. I don't know exactly how far we ran; the nature trail was not identifiable and the neighborhood was still farmland on Google Maps. We ran around in the neighborhood and ran back via Rt. 48. I felt pretty good until downtown, when my shoe began bothering me. It felt like a piece of mulch was lodged in the heel, and I couldn't get it out. When I got to the school, I discovered (along with a big blister) a ridge in the side of the shoe sole. It wasn't broken or anything, but because I used my new orthodics today, my foot was higher than usual, causing the chafing. We went to the Running Depot later and the lady gave me some heel cuffs to stick on the inside of my shoe so prevent rubbing. I'll try that tomorrow. So far, that has only occurred on my right foot. Other than that, I felt pretty good. I'm leaving tomorrow around for Memphis and I don't think I will go to practice tomorrow morning, but I will probably do an easy jog around the neighborhood.
