Notes

Fresh off of my first post-"Primal" Mastro meeting, and fueled by a pair of near-black coffees and thoughts of Dean K's advice on recouping, I take off just after sunset tonight for a short easy run to loosen up - Especially after the ibuprofen-aided uber-success that was Surftown, the past two days have been a particularly painful period of penance (although still totally worthwhile,) making the thought of working some of the lactic acids out of my muscles an appealing idea. It actually proves a fantastic idea, even though it feels shockingly ugly at first, but by perhaps Minor Street I'm starting to notice less of a limping lurch, and by Bob Arnold's house I actually feel like I'm running. The whole outing is surprisingly, and powerfully, upper-body, as my arm-pumping is totally the force that's moving me along right to the end. As I make the last hills leading up to Andrews Street, I'm feeling incredibly strong and almost normal with my strides, continuing right on up to Foote Street and a nice cool-down victory walk with dog-walking Sally. This final stretch does see a small amount of limp creep back in but all again is just amazingly... great. Kudos endorphins, kudos Dean Karnazes, and kudos us for making the connection and taking advantage of the opportunity to "level up" to awesomeness...!
