Notes

My first run out since the Half Marathon this past Saturday, and my first solo after-dark run in quite awhile, and it's outstanding on both counts... Although Gustav does whisper to me a few times (I'm guessing after this afternoon's lawn mowing) I focus, keep everything in check, and all ends up feeling great. I'd forgotten, too, how cool it is running with so little traffic this "late" at night, and just how powerful the experience of running down the middle of the road really is. An awesome outing, and huge thanks to M for pushing me when my fading excitement almost kept me at home...

And at long last, through the long weeks/months of race training and now the full-on return to RAVE, tonight finally finds me passing a milestone - Breaking past the 160-pound barrier, for years a distant and elusive goal, with a very cool 159.2 on the bathroom scale display as I'm cleaning up for dinner after mowing... Hurray!
