Notes

An adventurous solo outing, and what an interesting lesson in how quickly events and expectations can change... After strong initial reluctance to going out in the damp cold weather, I brace myself for a fine run and step outside, letting cats both in and out in the process. In the confusion on the transaction, however, I neglect to unlock the door behind me, and this is a fact that only strikes me after I've pulled the door solidly closed - All of a sudden I realize my day and schedule have decidedly changed... After some calm reflection, I realize M's key is probably the nearest to me, and that by just running to Real Nutrition I've a good chance of seeing Kelly and borrowing her minivan for the ride out to the Clipper, and this is just how things go. Kelly's more than happy to help (even though I realize I don't even have my license) and we actually have a good talk for a few minutes about some upcoming races and events before I go and come back smoothly. SO thankful for everything working out well, and psyched to have easily thought my way through what could have been a genuinely stressful experience, and even pleased that I got a fine, if somewhat cold and wet, run out of the morning, to boot...
