Notes

CNU 3k - Mixed feelings about my first race back. Wanted to go a bit faster. Of course I always want to go a little faster. Guess I have to be realistic and understand that I ran really well for the workouts I've done. Yes, the mileage has been great, but I'm just getting going. Went out a bit aggressive, although it didn't feel too bad. Legs were a little shocked but aerobically I was okay. Don't know the exact splits. I was 2:46/2:47 at the K, and around 4:29/4:30 at the mile. Hit 2k in 5:40. I was really hurting at the point. I tired to push it and gave it everything I had. I'm happy to know I can push myself to the limit like that. That'st he hardest I've fought in a while. Crossed the line and couldn't breathe, swallow, stand up straight or feel my legs. Can't ask for more that that. Came back less than an hr later to anchor our DMR for the win! I wasn't keeping track or time, just racing. The guys had a 6 second gap on me. Caught them after a k and went on to win by 4 seconds or so. Someone got my split at 4:22. Not too shabby after being exhausted following the 3k. Things are coming along. Time to work hard the next two weeks! Boston is less than 3 weeks! Getting excited and nervous thinking about it!!!
