Notes

Carillon hill workout: Warm up was just shy of 4 miles + 10 x 280 meter hill W/recovery jog back down. Great day for a workout. After the Warm up I started to feel sluggish, blood sugar was low, and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to workout today. I did run 5.5 miles earlier with Justin and 6 hrs may not have been enough recovery between runs. I Jogged back home to grab a gel and a snack before starting the hills. Once back at the Carillon, I did a few strides are felt pretty good. It was great having Jay out there as well. Splits for the hills were (50, 50, 49, 49, 49, 48, 48, 48, 47, 47). Felt efficient and power on the hills! Things are really coming along. I've run 29 miles over the past two days, so feeling this good is a positive sign of things to come. Did a few core exercises to cap off a great day. Working a lot this week so I'm happy to have a good jump on the week.

On a side note, this is probably the last day of the year that I'll be able to run shirtless. I say that, but this Virginia after all.
