Notes

Hard fought race out there yesterday. It didn't feel right early on, and then by 7 or 8 (coincidentally where I saw the fam) I really settled in and felt comfortable through 15ish. from 15-18 I was working, but about what you would expect during a marathon. Major muscle fatigue set in at 20. Cramping in the groin, deadlegs etc. I really pushed through and grinded those last 6 miles. That easily could have been a 3 hour marathon. I'm happy with that. It's my third fastest marathon. It gets me a BQ -20 again for my third year which is pretty sweet.

I have no complaints about my training cycle. I really got myself ready for the race, hit the workouts. I ran solid half leading up. I was disciplined during the taper and was feel very fresh the week leading up. I nailed nutrition the week leading up, the night before and the day of. I was good with fluids. I didn't go out too fast. So I take solace in the fact that I ran the best I could for that day and there really was nothing I would have done differently.

Talk about pain at the end. I fell on Marli and she had to hold me up for a few minutes while my legs seized up.

It got real tough at the end there but I grinded, grit my teeth and fought. Third fastest marathon, and realistically, it's prob the second, because the one in MD was a little short I think.
